This is Hinoya, a popular clothing store in Tokyo that sells vintage blue jeans, Hawaiian shirts and various other casual wear. The proprietor of this establishment is Koji Miura and Hinoya is his main outlet. Located in Okachimachi, a bustling market area famous for cheap food and clothing stores, as well as seedy but atmospheric restaurants, this district is one of the few remnants of Occupied Japan left in Tokyo. Some of the items for sale at Hinoya are rare vintage American blue jeans from the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s, many of them in original unused condition ranging in price from $100 to $350. This view shows Mr. Miura, age 48, of Fussa City, Tokyo holding a paif of vintage Levis jeans from 1944 (44501 Levis) in his store Hinoya. The price tag of these rare jeans are 28,350 JPY ($240).
