Merck Ltd., Japan is the chemicals unit of Merck KGaA, Germany, one of the leading pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturers in the world. It was established in Japan in 1968 for marketing Merck Group products and it's current core businesses are liquid crystals, pigments and life science products. They also have two factories in Japan; one in Atsugi, Kanagawa Prefecture, the other in Iwaki, Fukushima Prefecture (Photo by Torin Boyd).
