This is the seafood section at a Seiyu store located in the Tokyo suburb of Akabane. This retailer with 373 stores across Japan is the fully owned subsidiary of the US retailing giant Wal-Mart. For the first time in seven years since Wal-Mart entered the Japanese market, this retailer has finally begun to realize a profit due to Japan's long economic slump. According to Wal-Mart this is due to an aggressive restructuring campaign that offers Japanese shoppers rock bottom prices.
