Shinjukugyoen_autumn_100.jpg

November 20, 2016, Tokyo, Japan: Due to peaking Autumn foliage and usually warm weather for this time of year, tens or thousands came out to enjoy Tokyo’s Shinjuku Gyoen, a botanical garden in the center of the city. This garden which dates back to the 19th century was formerly part of the Imperial Palace Outer Garden used exclusively by Japan’s Imperial family. In 1949 this 144 acre site with over 20,000 trees was opened to the public and is now classified as a national garden. Photo by Torin Boyd.
