This is the funeral procession of singer James Brown which was held in Harlem on on Dec. 28, 2006. Brown's gold casket was carried by horse drawn carriage from Reverend Al Sharpton National Action Network (NAN) on 145th, down Malcolm X Boulevard (Lenexa Ave.) to the Apollo Theater followed closely behind by Rev. Sharpton and thousands of spectators. The Godfather of Soul's body was to lay in repose later in the day from 1-8 PM. This view shows the scene in front of NAN on at the start of the procession.
